In my dabblings of digital art I often find myself in a position where I'm trying to create an effect that's easy to see in my head but difficult to acheive in Paint Shop Pro. I've wanted to do something like those line-matrix (is that what you call it?) portraits you'll see in newspapers. After trying a couple long, repetitive, and mundane techniques, I got the good idea to just do it all in AVS. And you know what, it worked. It was even easier than I had expected. It's so odd, how I'll wish Paint Shop Pro just had something like a Color Map sometimes. What would have taken me days to complete in PSP took me a couple hours in AVS. I'll try some more experiments like this one in the future.
So instead of just uploading a design and that'd be the end of it, I uploaded the preset itself, and you guys can play around with it! Let me remind you that this preset has absolutely no response. It's intended to be used as an image manipulator. Not to mention these are the lowest FPS you'll ever see on a preset of mine. Here's an idea of what's possible with it.
Please fullview, as it won't make sense if you don't.
I've often wanted to have AVS effects on my image manipulator program too, color map is a perfect example.
It's interesting though, when i did the few AVS wallpapers and then told people who didn't know what AVS was and that it was made with it, i was often accused of "cheating", a bit like terragen or fractal artist often get treated i assume.
AVS definetly has the potential to create wonderful digital images, but i think people look down to something like that, "generated", atleast for now.
But this is beautiful work here and does require skill to do it. Please don't mistake nemo's words for it being "easy", it's just that he's really good at what he's doing
the image is wonderful, i'm intrigued by how fine you can go with the concentric circles...
Now the question is.... What the heck is AVS?
I like the colours alot...nice idea.
But a nice effect in any case
